I'll compile every console I've had and the games I remember most from them
And maybe some things I've been autistic about recently and just fundamental games that are integral to my psyche
Got this bad boy when I was a baby
My first real console,
super developmental
The most on in my childhood,
makes up 20% of my memories
Playing this made me feel like a man
(at like 8 years old)
Not as blissful as the DS,
but I still had my fun
Sales be damned I absolutely
LOVED the Wii U
First console I helped actually buy,
and absolutely got my money's worth
First console I payed for ENTIRELY
And the first that I followed
from announcement to release
I'm surprised there are any
games for this thing
hurhurhurhurhurhur
Back in 2020, my brother bought this weird game, something called "Yakuza 0". I watched him play it for a bit, and thought,
"I should try it myself"
I played for a little bit, going up to chapter 3 and stopping for a little. The game was good, I was having fun, but I just got the tiniest bit uninterested and stopped for a bit (a month). Eventually I remembered about the game and thought that I should keep going and at least finish the game. If you've played the game, you probably would understand the following sentiment about starting chapter 3:
HOLY. SHIT.
That single introduction officially sold me on the game, I was entirely hooked. That game remains in my top 5, probably top 3 games ever because of the sheer effect it had on me. I was INFATUATED with every aspect of the game, to the point where I wanted more. Having just played the one game I did a liiiiiittle research and decided:
I'm buying the rest of the series as soon as I can
I think within a week of beating 0, I spent $60 on the next 6 games in the franchise, and getting the 7th for Christmas. Then, It took me the next 3 years to play the rest of those games, and I'm so happy I did. There is no Craig without Yakuza.
I plan on collecting every physical version of each game and starting a kind of collection of merch from the games. Eventually too, I plan on getting a tattoo that relates to the games. That's how much it means to me I'm so serious.
yeah give me a bit on this one
this one too
